Anixter Center offers mental health and substance abuse services in group and individual settings. Services include symptom management, treatment planning and assessment, computer and vocational training, life skills and independence education, and wellness measures. Anixter Center also offers outpatient substance abuse services with a priority given to pregnant women. Most patients are low-income or living below the federal poverty line.

The Community Counseling Centers of Chicago (C4) accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most PPO insurance, however, services are not offered on a sliding scale. C4 serves a variety of mental health needs including substance abuse, trauma, depression, eating disorders, and anxiety.

The DePaul University Community Mental Health Center serves children, adolescents, and families primarily in the Lincoln Park, Near North, and Loop neighborhoods bounded by Diversey, Roosevelt, the Chicago River, and Lake Michigan. Services are offered on a sliding fee scale and no patients are turned away due to inability to pay; the center also accepts Medicaid and private insurance. Services include psychological testing, youth in the juvenile justice system, psychiatric services, and parent-child interaction therapy.

Erie Family Health Center offers behavior health and counseling services that include individual and group therapy, women’s support groups, and referrals for substance abuse counseling. Medicaid, Medicare, and many private health insurance plans accepted. Reduced fees may be available for the uninsured.

Howard Brown Health Center offers mental health services tailored to the LGBT community through individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Fees are $350 for an individual intake assessment, $150 for individual psychotherapy, $150 for family and couples therapy, and $60 for group therapy. Clients with documented need may receive discounted fees and Howard Brown accepts a number of private insurance plans.
