ACCESS Community Health Centers offer low cost care family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, and Ob/Gyn services as well as some low-cost specialty care at select clinics. All Kids is the state’s health insurance program for children from low-income families. Children must live in Illinois and be 18 years of age or younger. Children can qualify if they have had insurance in the past 12 months and may qualify for a difference coverage level if they have been uninsured for 12 months or lost insurance due to job loss or COBRA termination. Erie Family Health Center offers a range of children’s health services including school and sports exams, vaccinations, growth and development monitoring, and developmental screenings. Medicaid, Medicare, and many private health insurance plans accepted. Reduced fees may be available for the uninsured. Erie Helping Hands Health Center
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children at nutritional risk eat well by providing special checks to buy healthy food, information on nutrition and breastfeeding, and help locating local health care services. Women can apply through the Illinois Department of Human Services.
