Navigating the healthcare systems and finding affordable options for care can be a challenge. Making quality health care affordable and accessible is a top priority of mine as your state Representative.
The healthcare landscape is evolving with the gradual implementation of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the reorganization of the state’s Medicaid system, and the increasing cost of medical care and prescription drugs.
I created this 12th District Guide to Health Care to help you navigate and understand your medical options near the 12th District. I highlighted the areas of care that I am most frequently contacted about, including HIV/AIDS services, prescription drug assistance, services for senior citizens and women, and low cost care for uninsured and underinsured individuals with and without pre-existing conditions.
This guide is a constant work in progress. As the services offered may change based on the resources available, it is always important to call the provider and confirm that the services you need are still accessible within your budget. If you have any suggestions, ideas, or know of additional resources in the community that I can include in this guide, please let me know.
I hope that this guide can be helpful to you as you look for ways to reduce your medical bills and affordable care in our neighborhood. If I can ever be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact me at (773) 296-4141 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or stop by and see us at 3223 North Sheffield, Suite A. My staff and I are here to help you.
Very truly yours,
