Community Safety
Chicago Police Districts – The Chicago Police Department is organized into districts and districts are organized into police beats. Each beat hosts Community Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) meetings either monthly or bi-monthly. Below you will find information for each district and beat that intersects the 12th Legislative District. Please not that the beat meeting times and frequencies are subject to change as the community attendees deem it necessary. Therefore, for the most up-to-date information it is best to check the calendar of events for the police district in which you are interested in attending a CAPS meeting – links are provided below. Be sure to check out the entire CLEARpath website for a wealth of information about the Chicago Police Department and even crime statistics and community concerns broken out by district.
